Tamara Barker is a Canadian-born author who writes for both the General and Christian markets. Her debut children's book, Babies Around the World Dancing, was released in 2019. Her inspiration for writing children's books came shortly after the birth of her second daughter. Tamara loves writing books for children that display love, culture, laughter, diversity, education, and religion.
 
Tamara is also the founder of Blessed by Barker's. An organization that helps place blessing boxes around the City of Chicago. Her blessing boxes serve as an adjunct food pantry for those unhoused and suffering from food insecurities.

Writing for the Christian audience and beyond has always been a passion of Tamara's. But it wasn't until she was diagnosed with a rare brain disease that her story and testimony began to unfold. She wants to encourage others to live life to the fullest, be brave, move beyond feelings, and lean on Christ for everything!

Her love and faith in Jesus, paired with her commitment to helping others, began to transform her life, into someone new and improved!​​
