A Time to Give

Updated: Feb 1, 2022

The holidays are over (although, Valentine's is around the corner) and your shopping lists of gifts have been wrapped and given. Check, check, done! But is that it?

Does your giving stop there, only on holidays and special occasions?

I pray not, because “There is Always a Time to Give.”

Giving should be a forethought, not an afterthought. Giving should be something you engage in on a daily basis. Not quarterly or yearly.

When was the last time you gave something away, besides on a holiday or birthday?

How did it make you feel?

How did it make the recipient feel?

How do you think it made God feel?

You know the answers…………………………Happy, amazing, thrilled, and overjoyed!

Giving should be effortless. It should start from a good place, like your heart. It doesn't always have to start with your wallet. When giving, utilize what you have, like your talents, your words, your time. Here are a few examples:

Give a smile or hug

Give a meal

Give a listening ear

Give a donation

Give a prayer

Give a compliment

Jesus is the most altruistic being that walked this earth. He is the best gift life has ever offered. He was a servant like no other. One whom ultimately and selflessly gave up his life for the world.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

Christ did his part, now let's do ours by loving on others.

The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:31 NIV

If you want to encounter a different level of contentment, satisfaction, and fulfilment in life, GIVE!!!!

Give unselfishly and abundantly.

It will change your life.

It altered mine and I pray it reveals itself to you.

But this I say: He who soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he who soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. As every man purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly or out of compulsion; for God loveth the cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:6-9 KJ21

Peace and Blessings
