It’s the start of the New Year and many are elated to leap into a new beginning.
What does your beginning look like? Does it include the almighty Alpha?
John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God”.
Including God in the commencement of your new year plans, acknowledges that he is the author of your life.
If you secured and established your plans with God, it will align in his timing. Gods’ will for you is to live out his plan, which was already set before you.
Did you know that God directed your steps? We just have to be willing, and able to conceive that our dream is from him.
Ponder the questions below and assess:
-Why pursue your dreams, goals, aspirations, and or hopes?
- Who will benefit from them besides you?
-Are you willing to listen, take direction, and criticism?
-Will you depart when it becomes difficult?
-Where did this idea of your dream come from?
Tough questions lead to truths.
If Christ is the truth and you believe in his word, which began in the beginning, then your dreams and plans will be aligned with him because he is the creator of you, your dreams, and your successes in the future.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
If the questions you answered to your hopes and dreams don’t fall in place with the truth (God) then you may want to assess whether your dreams are from God or from your own wishful thinking.
It’s okay to be a wishful thinker. I’m constantly thinking of things I want to do. But wishful thinking differs from dreams. Dreams are the zealous desire that was placed inside of you, long before you discovered it yourself.
Dreams take time, patience, perseverance, and endurance. It builds your character and makes you become wiser and stronger from the pitfalls, rejections, and adversity you may face.
Looking to God this new year will help you in your new beginnings. Continue to reach for your God ordained dreams.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
“Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator.” Colossians 3:10
Peace, Blessings, and Happy New Year!!!
